Armenia’s electronic voting process for the June 7 elections will begin on May 29, the Central Election Commission (CEC) said, clarifying who is eligible to cast ballots online.
Under Armenia’s constitutional law on the Electoral Code, electronic voting from abroad is available to voters serving in Armenia’s diplomatic or consular missions and eligible members of their families residing overseas with them. The provision also applies to military personnel on long-term official assignments or studying abroad, as well as eligible family members living overseas with them.
“No electronic voting is conducted beyond these categories of persons.
At an extraordinary session held on May 6, the CEC transferred envelopes containing individual codes corresponding to the number of electronic voters to representatives of Armenia’s Foreign Ministry and Defense Ministry.
Electronic voting will run from 08:00 on May 29 until 20:00 on May 31.
The list of voters who participated in electronic voting will be submitted to the CEC by 12:00 on June 1,” the statement said.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
