The campaign for the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7 has officially started. The Central Electoral Commission has registered 19 political forces to take part in the elections.
Several parties have already released schedules for campaign events planned for May 8, according to Armenpress.
At 10:00 a.m., the Strong Armenia party will launch its campaign in front of the National Assembly building, where party council member Narek Karapetyan is expected to hold a briefing. The party’s main event of the day will take place at 7:00 p.m. near the Mother Armenia monument in Victory Park.
At 11:00 a.m., representatives of the Bright Armenia party will depart from the party office at 1 Baghramyan Avenue for Yeraskh, where their campaign will begin.
The Wings of Unity party will launch its campaign at 11:00 a.m. in Goshavank. Party representatives will also visit Ijevan and the nearby villages of Achajur and Azatamut.
The Civil Contract party will campaign in Syunik Province on May 8 and 9. On May 8, party representatives are scheduled to visit Gorayk at 10:00 a.m., Angeghakot at 11:00 a.m., Brnakot at 12:00 p.m., Sisian at 12:40 p.m., Kornidzor at 3:00 p.m., Tegh at 3:50 p.m., Khndzoresk at 4:50 p.m., Goris at 6:00 p.m., and Shinuhayr at 7:30 p.m.
On May 9, party representatives will be in Agarak at 12:00 p.m., Meghri at 2:00 p.m., Kajaran at 4:40 p.m., and Kapan at 6:10 p.m. A major rally is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Garegin Nzhdeh Square in Kapan.
The Reformists Party will begin its campaign with the official presentation of its election platform.
The National Democratic Alliance will also launch its campaign in front of the National Assembly building in the format of a press conference.
The Hayastan alliance will begin campaigning at 6:00 p.m. in Echmiadzin’s Eternal Flame Square.
The Against Everyone party will launch its campaign at 2:30 p.m. from 56/1 Republic Street in Yerevan.
The pre-election campaign will continue until June 5. June 6 will be observed as a day of silence, and voting will take place on June 7.
