June 7 is the day to either “lock Armenia’s door from the inside or open it wide,” Arman Babajanyan, leader of the For the Republic party and the top candidate on its electoral list, said in a Facebook video.
“Either we hand the country over to Putin’s clients in Armenia — Kocharyan, Samvel Karapetyan, Tsarukyan, Tatoyan and others — or we finally break the chain that has kept our state dependent, weak and controllable,” he said.
He also stated that citizens want something simple: for their children to live well.
“Living well means a safe neighborhood, a strong school, protection under the law and a future. We must build an Armenia where children are shaped by education, protected by law and advanced by talent, not by personal connections or criminal subculture,” he said.
The election campaign, which began on May 8, will continue until June 5. June 6 will be a day of silence, while the elections will be held on June 7.
