If Armenians remain united, all national problems can be resolved, Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan said during an election rally in Abovyan.
“I am building the statue of Jesus Christ as a message to the world, a symbol of national revival and internal unity, so Armenians across the globe stand together, put aside hostility and hatred, and remain united,” he said, according to Panorama.am.
Tsarukyan noted that even before the monument’s opening, land prices in Abovyan and nearby areas had already increased tenfold and would continue rising.
“Our Abovyan will gain even greater international recognition. People will no longer say Brazil, they will say Abovyan, Kotayk, Armenia — home to the most powerful and magnificent statue of Christ,” Tsarukyan said.
According to him, nothing is impossible when it comes to putting the country on a path of development, especially through knowledge and capable professionals, Sputnik Armenia reported.
“Prepare for positive changes. I will do ten times more than I promised. We have a strong team and the ability to achieve everything quickly. We have the opportunities and connections needed to advance our programs,” Tsarukyan stated.
He added that ensuring guaranteed peace remains his team’s top priority.
“We must do everything so that on June 7 the first bell of our national revival rings. We need to create jobs so people can smile again,” the Prosperous Armenia leader stressed.
During the rally, Tsarukyan also promised that, if victorious in the elections, he would improve the business climate, support small and medium-sized enterprises, and launch major socio-economic and tourism projects.
The election campaign, which began on May 8, will continue until June 5. June 6 will be a day of silence, while the elections will take place on June 7.
