Turkey, EU review Armenia peace efforts

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s chief adviser on foreign policy and security affairs, Akif Çağatay Kılıç, held talks with the European Union’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono.

Kılıç announced the meeting in a post on X.

“During the meeting, we discussed the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, the Turkey-Armenia normalization process, connectivity projects in the South Caucasus, issues of regional stability and security, as well as the EU’s approach to the region,” Kılıç said, according to Factor.am .

He stressed the importance of joint efforts aimed at strengthening long-term peace, stability and cooperation in the South Caucasus.

Earlier, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that Armenia and Azerbaijan had made significant progress in the peace process.
