Armenia seeks seizure of properties tied to former MP

The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted into proceedings another lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office concerning the confiscation of property of illegal origin.

The Department for the Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin at the Prosecutor General’s Office submitted a request to the court seeking the confiscation in favor of the Republic of Armenia from former head of Yerevan’s Ajapnyak administrative district and former National Assembly deputy Ruben Garnik Hovsepyan (the brother of former Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan — ed.) and affiliated persons of:

3 real estate properties, including 2 in Yerevan and 1 in the Artashavan settlement of the Ashtarak community,

1 vehicle,

participation in 1 legal entity,

236 million 827 thousand drams as the remaining amount of allegedly illegal monetary assets.
