Arpine Soghoyan, the woman who argued with Prime Minister and Civil Contract candidate Nikol Pashinyan, has reportedly been asked to submit a resignation letter.
Soghoyan is an obstetrician-gynecologist at Polyclinic No. 16 and a candidate of medical sciences, Sputnik Armenia reports.
“According to our information, however, the doctor refused,” the publication said.
Arpine Soghoyan’s daughter, lawyer Tatevik Soghoyan, stated that if the clinic decides to dismiss her mother, legal procedures will follow.
During a campaign event in Yerevan’s Arabkir district on May 18, a woman approached Nikol Pashinyan and accused him of “destroying an entire young generation of the nation and stealing her homeland and her brother.”
Pashinyan responded harshly, saying: “Who are you? If you are Rob, we will force you to kneel. We will force Rob to kneel, we will force the man from Kaluga to kneel, we will force Gago to kneel, we will force Serzh to kneel.”
The prime minister also said he would “destroy” the people he listed.
It later became known that the woman who approached Pashinyan was obstetrician-gynecologist Arpine Soghoyan, sister of Lieutenant Colonel and military doctor Hrant Papikyan, who went missing during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.
