Armenia and Lithuania have signed a document on strategic cooperation, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced during a joint press conference in Yerevan with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys.
“From this moment on, Armenia and Lithuania are strategic partners. This is a format that will allow us both to deepen our political dialogue and cooperation and to take a more comprehensive approach to sectoral cooperation,” Mirzoyan said, according to Sputnik Armenia.
According to him, relations between the two countries are primarily based on shared values such as sovereignty, democracy and human rights. He noted that these same values are currently being targeted by various centers and are facing hybrid threats.
Mirzoyan stressed that this is another area in which the two countries are closely cooperating in order to address existing challenges.
Budrys is in Yerevan on an official visit.
