Residents of Kirants are not being allowed to enter farmland near the shore of the Berkaber reservoir in sections where border delimitation has not been carried out. The information was confirmed by Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS), according to Sputnik Armenia.
The NSS stated that residents of Kirants may access their land near the Berkaber reservoir only in the delimited section of the border.
“In the non-delimited sections, entry is currently considered inadvisable in order to avoid possible border incidents,” the NSS said.
No delimitation work is planned there in the near future.
Armenia and Azerbaijan have delimited a 12-kilometer section of the border in Tavush Province.
