Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed a video in which masked individuals issued death threats against him, stating that those individuals have not been in Armenia since 2024.
“Regarding the masked individuals’ video, I think we have approximately clarified the circle of persons involved. Essentially, the individuals whom we believe appear in that video have not been in Armenia since 2024,” he said, according to Radar Armenia.
The prime minister added that this was operational information and that “we do not have proof.”
“In the past, with high probability, they were in our field of interest in connection with other cases. In particular, it is possible they were individuals operating within the logic of illegal mercenary activity,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
Armenia’s Investigative Committee earlier reported that a criminal case had been launched against a group of individuals over the dissemination of a video containing real threats to assassinate the Armenian prime minister because of his state and political activities and political views.
