Russian-Armenian businessman and leader of the Strong Armenia party Samvel Karapetyan stated that he does not imagine himself in the role of an opposition leader.
“I am not prepared for the status of an opposition leader, we are going to take power. We are not discussing ‘ifs’; we are discussing when, and that when will be June 7,” he said, according to Radar Armenia.
He also stressed that he could simply close his wallet and once again become a very wealthy man.
“I do not need anything. I do not need power either. I want an opportunity to help our people. Maybe this is boasting — businessmen have such a trait — but I feel that only we can solve this issue,” he said.
According to Karapetyan, other political forces think similarly, but he is weighing things carefully.
The election campaign that began on May 8 will continue until June 5. June 6 will be a day of silence, while elections will take place on June 7.
