Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said relations with the United States have been elevated to a new level, referring to documents signed with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
“Just moments ago, we elevated our strategic partnership to a new level by renaming it a comprehensive strategic partnership,” Mirzoyan said during a joint statement with Rubio, according to Radar Armenia.
The minister also noted that the sides already have signed commitments in the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductors and nuclear energy.
“We already have signed commitments regarding artificial intelligence, semiconductors and nuclear energy. A short while ago, you witnessed how we signed a new document concerning critical minerals and, of course, most importantly, the umbrella agreement. Please take some time to study and compare the two documents. I hope we will see what new opportunities this enhanced document contains,” he said.
According to Mirzoyan, the agreements now being formalized through signatures will later produce practical results and contribute to Armenia’s development.
“All the agreements that we are now bringing to life through signatures, and which we will later see implemented in practice, are undoubtedly beneficial for Armenia and will open unprecedented opportunities for the country,” he stated.
