Eight supporters of the Strong Armenia party were taken to Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee from Arbat village in the Masis community, lawyer Yura Ivanyan said, according to Sputnik Armenia.
According to him, it is still unclear what exactly the detainees are suspected of, as the defense side has not been provided with information.
Lawyer Tigran Hayrapetyan is currently not being allowed to enter the committee building to see his clients.
Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee has repeatedly issued statements alleging vote-buying by members and supporters of the “Strong Armenia” party.
