Against Everyone says withdrawals planned in advance

The withdrawal of several candidates from the Against Everyone party was the result of a previously agreed decision, the party’s prime ministerial candidate Nina Karapetyants said, according to Factor.am .

“The preliminary agreement was the following: mandates were to be relinquished. We were supposed to keep only as many mandates as the number of votes we believe we can receive. We are realistic. We believe that at this stage, unless something extraordinary happens, we cannot receive 51-plus percent. We have retained only as many mandates as the votes we can realistically collect. Everyone else submitted withdrawals, and this was agreed upon in advance,” Karapetyants explained.

According to her, the process was carried out in a pre-arranged format in order to avoid lengthy procedures and later resignations from parliamentary mandates.

Nina Karapetyants added that this approach is part of the party’s broader political project, which is based not on a long-term mandate system but on short-term political actions within the framework of their proposed 100-day program.

The election campaign that began on May 8 will continue until June 5. June 6 will be a day of silence, and elections will take place on June 7. On May 25, it became known that the Alliance Progressive Centrist Party had submitted a withdrawal request, after which the Central Electoral Commission invalidated the registration of the party’s electoral list. Ballot paper number 13 will not appear in the upcoming elections.
