Searches were conducted at the Ashtarak campaign headquarters of the Hayastan Alliance, as well as at the residence of Ashot Simonyan, chairman of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation's Armenia Supreme Body and a member of parliament. The information was announced in a Facebook video by MP and Hayastan Alliance parliamentary candidate Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
He stated that despite efforts to obstruct their activities, those attempts would not succeed.
“This evil government, through such actions and methods, seeks to restrict and dismantle the activities of opposition political forces' campaign headquarters. It is trying to influence our supporters, sympathizers and voters, but it will not succeed,” Saghatelyan said.
He urged international observers to pay attention to the developments taking place in Armenia.
The election campaign, which began on May 8, will continue until June 5. June 6 will be a day of electoral silence, while voting will take place on June 7. On May 25, it became known that the Alliance Progressive Centrist Party had submitted a withdrawal request, based on which the Central Election Commission invalidated the registration of the party’s electoral list. As a result, there will be no ballot paper numbered 13 in the upcoming elections.
