A pre-recorded video message by Strong Armenia party representative Alik Alexanyan has been published. The video was intended to be released in the event of his detention or arrest and was shared on Facebook by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the party’s council.
In the message, Alexanyan called on citizens to participate in the upcoming elections.
“If you are seeing this video, it means I have been detained or arrested. All of this is the result of this government’s fear, helplessness and weakness. Clinging to various baseless and empty accusations, they are trying to detain and arrest different people and keep society under tension. People, it will not work, come to terms with that.
We will have a strong Armenia, and we will have Samvel Karapetyan as a strong prime minister,” he said in the video address.
The election campaign, which began on May 8, will continue until June 5. June 6 will be a day of electoral silence, while elections will be held on June 7. On May 25, it became known that the Alliance Progressive Centrist Party had submitted a withdrawal request, based on which the Central Election Commission invalidated the registration of the party’s electoral list. As a result, there will be no ballot paper numbered 13 in the upcoming elections.
